HISTORY

Established in 1972 by Managing Director and proprietor Bob Gussion, the company has grown beyond his own expectations. The company's site in Widnes, Cheshire on the doorstep of the Mersey Gateway, comprises office space, a self-contained workshop facility and a tank wash facility for both its own vehicles and external customers.
Gussion Transport has always recognised the value of moving with the market; our longevity is indicative of the ability to evolve alongside changing sector conditions. We've grown with our customers and thus ensured long-term relationships along the way. In fact, we are proud of the fact that 85% of our business is repeat custom. We have a down-to-earth, hands-on approach that has been the foundation stone of our hard won reputation for reliability of service. Our customer base varies from the sole trader to multinational producers and end user; we treat each customer as an individual and always provide a personal service.
Our core business has always been the haulage of bulk chemicals which has maintained our focus and helped solidify key skills making us a dedicated sector specialist. Over the last 18 months, we've invested over £2 million upgrading our fleet of vehicles which now comprises 21 brand new DAF XF's in various body styles and heights along with a dedicated 26,000kg, 11,000 litre capacity rigid tanker that has the added flexibility of being fitted with a pump, a compressor and an electronic flow meter. Our 55 road tanks include stainless steel, single compartment, multi-compartment, rubber lined and dedicated tanks for products such as HF and Ammonia
